Under the general direction of the manager of financial planning and reporting; key responsibilities and qualifications for a finance-related role, including participation in period-end close processes, budget planning, corporate forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis, with an emphasis on compliance with GAAP and collaboration with business units; qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 1–3 years of experience, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Period-End Close & Reporting:
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies during close activities.
- Budget Planning:
- Assist in the annual planning process for operating expense budgets.
- Collaborate with department leaders to gather input and validate assumptions.
- Corporate Forecasting:
- Support ongoing income statement forecasting throughout the year.
- Provides proactive guidance on business performance and appropriate financial solutions.
- Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Provides financial support to operational and functional business areas and serve as their business partner.
- Analyzes complex business and financial issues and can summarize and communicate them effectively to their respective internal customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; experience with forecasting tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
