Provides clear direction for Curbside Pickup operations, ensuring efficient processes, accurate order fulfillment, and a safe, organized work area. Leads and empowers team members through daily workflow planning, coaching, and hands‑on support. Models an exceptional customer experience by delivering fast, friendly, and accurate service. Drives department performance by helping achieve pickup goals and motivating peers to maintain a consistent, winning strategy.


What you'll be doing:

  • Engages team members to deliver an outstanding Curbside Pickup experience, ensuring fast, accurate, and friendly service for every customer interaction.

  • Communicates daily priorities and assigns work tasks to support efficient order picking, staging, and handoff.

  • Mentors and coaches team members to exceed service, accuracy, and productivity goals while maintaining all Meijer standards. Ensures required trainings are completed on time.

  • Supports onboarding and cross‑training of new and high‑potential team members, providing peer coaching that strengthens skill development and overall department performance.

  • Collaborates with leadership on schedule planning to improve team engagement, customer satisfaction, and department efficiency.

  • Ensures product freshness by monitoring rotation, dating, and quality checks for all items selected for pickup orders.

  • Guides the team in food safety compliance and models safe work practices aligned with Meijer's 200% accountability standards.

  • Leads execution of ordering, receiving, stocking, and pricing tasks where applicable to support accurate inventory and product availability for online orders.

  • Promotes a positive, inclusive culture that reflects Meijer's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

  • Operates registers and performs cash‑handling duties when needed to support front‑end operations.

  • Operates powered equipment as required for staging, stocking, or order fulfillment tasks.

  • Participates in period‑end inventories to help the store achieve accuracy and shrink goals.

  • Provides support in other departments as needed and may act in a Lead capacity across the store.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall store operations.
